Day 1: Dublin - Galway
Straight out of Dublin and across the country to visit the awesome Cliffs of Moher rising hundreds of feet over the Atlantic Ocean. Vertigo sufferers beware! After lunch we’ll explore the weird and magical world of the Burren, Ireland’s lunar landscape and home to fairies and leprechauns
Hear the Celtic legends surrounding the ancient burial tombs, or dolmens. Our stop for the night is Galway, Ireland’s cultural capital and festival city
Day 2: Inis Mor (Aran Islands)
We spend a whole day on Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands. Inis Mór has over 3,000 miles of stone walls! The locals here are fluent Irish (Gaelic) speakers and you’ll be free to explore the island and get chatting to them over a pint
You can take a walk, a horse and cart or for the more energetic, explore the island by bike! You can’t miss the awe-inspiring fortress of Dun Aonghasa, a 3,000 year old Iron Age ring fort perched on the edge of a 300 foot high cliff. After a tremendous day it’s time to head back to the main land for a pint of Guinness or two in Galway’s buzzing pub scene
Day 3: Galway - Dublin
Spend a free morning exploring the City of the Tribes with its fascinating history and streets thriving with buskers playing great live music. It’s then time to say farewell to the City of the Tribes and return to Dublin’s Fair City
Accommodation is guaranteed on all trips. We reserve the beds and you pay as you go. The price is between €18 and €20 per person per night in shared dorms
What type of accommodation do you use.
Unlike others, we are not tied exclusively to any hostel chain, so are free to select the very best hostels. We choose places packed full of character and only use quality independent and Youth Hostel Association hostels. We guarantee dorm bed accommodation on all our tours.
Are double/twin rooms available
Some of the hostels we use do have private (double/twin) rooms but these are limited and dependent on availability. Hostel private rooms cost approximately Euro 25 - 40 per person per night
We can also make B&B bookings. These are again dependent on availability and the price is around Euro 40 – 60 per person per night. Any B&B bookings made must be honoured and credit card details will be required.
Is a sleeping bag required. A sleeping bag is not required as all hostels provide linen but it is a good idea to bring a towel.
